UpdateTime:2017-04-06Source: Shandong Fu Animal Husbandry Technology Co., LTD

China, the world's second largest economy, has captured the world's attention with the opening of the two sessions on March 3. In addition to its large economy, China is arguably the world's largest pig producer in terms of our pig industry, accounting for almost 50% of the world's total. Since 2017, each province on 2016 pigs out of the column, the column of data has also been released, after collecting and collating, summed up a current latest national pig ranking, released today, for the reference of pig friends!

In this article, let's take a look at the top ten provinces in China for raising pigs and the future direction of development.

  NO.1  Szechwan

In Sichuan, 6,9254,000 pigs were raised in 2016, a decrease of 3.476 million compared with 2015. The main reason for the decline is that some areas in Sichuan are also carrying out the planning of no-breeding areas, and the pig stock has been reduced. Even so, Sichuan remains the country's top pig breeder. There is a saying that "pig grain is safe in the world", while in Sichuan it is "Sichuan pigs are safe in the world", which fully demonstrates the importance of Pigs in Sichuan to the Chinese market.

Moreover, we can also feel that the price of pigs in Sichuan is often the highest in China. For now, the average price of three yuan outside China is 16.2 yuan, while in Sichuan it is as high as 17.6 yuan.

  NO.2  Henan

After Sichuan, Henan is the second largest pig-breeding province, with about 63 million pigs produced in 2016. Compared with Sichuan, Henan has a unique advantage in raising pigs. Rich in corn and wheat, but far from any major river system, Henan's pig farmers could not be happier if the dense slaughterhouses were excluded.

In addition, there are more than 3,000 pig farms with 500 to 10,000 pigs annually in Henan, accounting for 62% of the total in Henan. There are 583 pig farms with more than 10,000 pigs annually, accounting for 18% of the total. In other words, the proportion of large-scale pig farms is as high as 78 percent, far higher than the national level of 45 percent.

It is understood that henan Xinxiang, Xincai and other areas are currently carrying out the work of the removal of the forbidden area. In the future, the breeding quantity of pigs in Henan will be maintained at about 65 million.

  NO.3  Hunan province

In 2016, hunan province produced 59.2 million pigs, a decrease of 1.57 million compared with 2015. The reason for the decrease is similar to that of other provinces, mainly due to the reduction of the no-breeding areas.

For Hunan province, due to the location of xiangjiang river and Yuanjiang river systems on the Yangtze River, the local water resources protection task is significant and the forbidden breeding area is relatively large. Therefore, the pig breeding in the future will be maintained at the level of about 62 million head.

Moreover, the annual production of more than 500 pig farms must be equipped with supporting facilities for the treatment of manure, disease and death of pigs harmless to reach 100%

  NO.4  Shandong province

In 2016, there were 46.62 million pigs in the market, a decrease of 1.74 million from the previous month. The decrease was also due to demolition. In the next four years, the goal of pig breeding in Shandong is to stabilize pigs and poultry, expand cattle and sheep, and revive the dairy industry. On the basis of consolidating the advantages of poultry and pig industry in Shandong, accelerate the development of herbivores such as beef cattle and sheep, vigorously improve the modernization level of dairy industry, adjust and optimize the industrial structure, and build a modern animal husbandry industry system.

According to the distribution of shandong's pig industry, it is mainly distributed in the south-central region of Shandong province. The key areas planned by shandong government include some counties of Weifang, Linyi, Liaocheng, Heze, Yantai, Qingdao and other cities.

  NO.5  Hubei

In 2016, there were 42.23 million pigs in the market, a decrease of 1.57 million from the previous month. Hubei province has the Yangtze River, the Han River trunk stream, also included in the pig breeding restrictions. Farms in 25 counties and cities in Hubei province are located in areas with substandard water environment and prominent pollution caused by livestock and poultry breeding. The provincial government said it would close and relocate farms by the end of June 2017. Others will be closed until the end of 2017. Compensation shall be made according to law for the closure or relocation of livestock and poultry farms (residential areas) and professional farmers in the prohibited breeding areas.

  NO.6  Guangdong

In 2016, 35.31 million pigs were sold, down 1.31 million from the previous month. Guangdong province, where breeding is restricted, has been carrying out clean-up and renovation of livestock and poultry breeding industry in prohibited breeding areas and restricted breeding areas since 2015. By the end of 2017, livestock and poultry farms (including residential areas, the same below) and breeding professionals in the forbidden breeding areas will be closed or relocated in accordance with the law, and the Pearl River Delta region will be completed one year ahead of schedule (completed by the end of 2016). The local people's government at or above the county level shall compensate for the relocation or closure of livestock and poultry farms that already exist in the prohibited breeding areas before the designation of such zones. In addition, in areas where pig farming is allowed, large-scale pig farms must be equipped with equipment for manure disposal and must pass an ENVIRONMENTAL assessment!

  NO.7  Yunnan

About 35 million pigs were sold in Yunnan in 2016, roughly the same as in 2015.

Yunnan is a potential growth area for pig breeding. In the next four years, resource advantages will be developed, and a number of breeding bases with high standards of breeding and breeding will be suggested to become bigger and stronger leading enterprises in slaughtering and processing. In recent years, wen's, cp and other giants in Yunnan successively layout.

  NO.8  Hebei

In 2016, hebei produced 34.54 million pigs, a decrease of 970,000 pigs from the previous month. Compared with other regions, the reduction in Hebei is relatively small.

According to the plan of the Ministry of Agriculture, Hebei is a key area for pig breeding from 2017 to 2020. In the next four years, relying on the current basis, hebei will improve its scale, enhance the comprehensive utilization of excrement and improve its competitiveness, and become one of the core areas to stabilize China's pork supply.

According to a document issued by the hebei provincial government this year, hebei has not proposed large-scale demolition, but has proposed that 80% of its pig farms be equipped with waste treatment facilities by the end of 2017.

  NO.9  Guangxi

In 2016, 32.8 million pigs were sold in Guangxi, 1.36 million fewer than that in 2015. Guangxi is one of the key pig breeding areas planned by the Ministry of Agriculture. The local government promotes the poverty alleviation of poor households in Guangxi through the mode of "government + leading enterprises + poor households". For the demolition of the main field in the forbidden farming area, luchuan and Bobai, two large pig-raising counties, have taken for example, 755 of the 910 farms and households determined to be demolished by the riverside of the two counties have been demolished. The government provided 136 million yuan in subsidies for this purpose, and the new pigsty built in other places was generally equipped with elevated network beds, and other supporting facilities were also transformed and upgraded.

In the next few years, Guangxi will also become one of the core areas for pig breeding.

  NO.10  Jiangxi

The output of pigs in Jiangxi in 2016 was the same as that in 2015, keeping at about 32 million heads.

Pig breeding in Jiangxi is a restricted development area. The development direction is to implement reasonable bearing capacity, promote moderate scale standardized breeding, reduce the number of pig slaughtering enterprises and eliminate backward slaughtering capacity.

By the end of April this year, all counties (cities and districts) breeding livestock and poultry must complete the work of zoning and mapping the geographical indications of the "three districts", and by the end of the year the removal, dismantling and rectification of livestock and poultry farms in the forbidden zones will be completed.

By 2020, more than 80 percent of livestock and poultry farms in Jiangxi province will be equipped with solid waste and waste water storage and treatment facilities, and the utilization rate of livestock and poultry manure will reach over 85 percent.

In addition to the top 10 provinces, Anhui, Jiangsu and other provinces with more than 28 million pigs in the field, the total number of pigs is also not to be ignored.

The current ranking of pig breeding is only temporary. As we all know, the pig industry is currently in the process of big transfer, and the whole listed areas with dense water networks in the south are moving to the main corn producing areas in the north. Therefore, in three to five years, the number of pig breeding in North China and northeast China will be further increased. Northeast China, in particular, has almost become an important place for the giants such as Wenshi, Yangxiang and Dabinong to fight for.

It can be predicted that in the next five years, the pig breeding industry will undergo tremendous changes!
